2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid :

The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid uses the exact same 2-Mode hybrid powertrain as both the Yukon and Tahoe hybrids. Unlike its platform cousins, however, the Escalade does not incorporate any weight-saving measures. It does incorporate Hybrid badges in the fender vents and "H" logos by the rear windows.

With its hybrid power train, the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid turns in good fuel economy for such a heavy vehicle without compromising performance.

Audio sources are limited in the Escalade Hybrid, with no iPod integration available.

Volkswagen Passat CC :

The Volkswagen Passat CC (also known as the Volkswagen CC in the United States)[1] is a 4-door coupé version of the Volkswagen Passat. It debuted in January 2008 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The Passat has been a relative success for Volkswagen in the U.S., but the company is already hard at work on a New Midsize (or mid-market) Sedan, not-so-cleverly codenamed NMS, to replace it. The final design has already been approved - prototypes were shown to dealers in Wolfsburg this week.

In the 2009 Volkwagen CC commercial in the United States, the CC passengers are aware of the floating letters and voice-overs, and of being in a car commercial. The commercial is partially voiced by a Beetle.

Technical Data :

The car rests on a 2711 mm (106.7 in) wheelbase and is, for the time being, available with a 1.8-litre TFSI inline-four (118 kW (160 PS; 158 hp)) or a 2.0-litre inline-four TDI engine, both with front-wheel drive and 6-speed manual, or with a 3.6-litre VR6 engine (220 kW (299 PS; 295 hp)) with 4motion four-wheel drive and a 6-speed twin-clutch Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG).

Step inside the CC and after you’ve rubbed your head better — you will bang it the first time, because the roofline is lower than you were expecting — you will note that all is well. Better than well. In the base models, everything is a bit dreary, a bit public convenience, only without George Michael to liven things up, but in the car I drove, it was all brushed aluminium and ivory leather and splashes of chrome.

When the Passat CC goes on sale later this year, it will be fitted with the 3.6-liter FSI V6 making around 300 hp, along with three selectable chassis control systems, spanning the range from Sport to Normal and Comfort. In addition to a host of electronic gizmos, Volkswagen will begin offering its own version of the utterly sucktastic Park Assist feature on the CC, similar to the system used on the Lexus LS460.

Range Rover 2010 :

Land Rover has open their new 2010 Range Rover U.S. pricing at $79,275 .Remember Range Rover debut? Alongside the facelifted Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4 (LR4) at the New York motorshow in April.

Powerful new engines, advanced interior technologies and enhanced driving dynamics reinforce the position of the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover as Land Rover's most complete luxury all-terrain vehicle. Land Rover's flagship has been comprehensively updated to deliver more refined and efficient performance, along with the ultimate in interior comfort and craftsmanship.

Clamber inside the new Range Rover and you'll be struck by the quality of materials: there are six classy woods available, fresh colour schemes and twin-needling on the leather stitching. There's a new thin film transistor (TFT) LCD screen that's claimed to be the biggest automotive application yet at a bragging-rights 12 inches. These are the black-screen, more reflection-proof digital screens we've begun to see in luxury cars such as top-end BMWs and Mercs.

"The 2010 Land Rover Range Rover is a considerable step forward for what is already regarded as the one of the world's most complete luxury vehicles. New engines deliver formidable power, efficiency and customary Land Rover Range Rover refinement, and new technologies, such as the 12" TFT instrument cluster. The 2010 Range Rover remains the benchmark and continues to set the pace in its segment," says Phil Popham, Land Rover Managing Director.

Externally, this equates to a new hooter featuring too much bright metal, a grille modelled on the blades of a chop-anything shopping channel kitchen appliance, pointlessly noodled front wing vents and tail lamps that wouldn't look out of place on a chain around a New York rapper's neck.

The new engine :

Two engines are available in the UK market: a new supercharged 503bhp V8 petrol (that Jag XFR unit) or the effective 3.6 TDV8 with which we're already familiar. The V8 petrol hits 60mph in 5.9sec and averages 19mpg/348g/km (both 7% better than before). Key figures on the TDV8 are 8.6sec/25mpg/294g/km.

On board, the elegance of the current model's dashboard architecture just about survives a further surfeit of metal-highlight mayhem.

Switchgear has apparently been simplified, though there still appears to be a button for every day of the year, while all-new electrics imbue both instrument binnacle and centre console with their own party tricks...
